Auricular Therapy

What is auricular therapy? Auricular therapy is a component of traditional Chinese acupuncture. Electronic needle-less acupuncture is a more recent method of performing auricular acupuncture. Auricular therapy is an effective system for analyzing problem areas and treating the entire body from the ear. The auricle (ear) is used to stimulate specific parts of the brain that have a reflex connection to various organs and meridians in the body. The reflex points on the ear are stimulated to diminish the pathological activity of the affected region. This will lead to balance in the meridians and body and reduce stress and pain. Known benefits of auricular therapy include meridian activation that regulates energy flow, stimulates the internal organs, improves blood and lymph fluid circulation in the body, stimulates deep relaxation, improves balanced brain activity, and stimulates the immune system.
